Review: The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

Hi Friends! I’m back again!! School is really tough. *sighs

Title: The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer
Author: Michelle Hodkin
Publication Date: September 27, 2011

Mara Dyer believes life can't get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.
It can.

She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her strangely unharmed.
There is.

She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.
She's wrong.

My Thoughts

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is so dark and creepy at the same time swoon-worthy (*whispers Noah Shaw). I enjoyed reading it, I always want to see what’s coming next and what really happened in the Asylum that night.

I love Michelle Hodkin’s writing style. The plot is great 50% dark and 50% hearts. That plot twist! Mara was in an accident and all of her friends died, she doesn’t remember anything about the accident.

I liked Mara even though she was unreliable, she just wanted to be a normal teenager. She’s made of mysteries that you want to unravel. Noah, on the other hand, is everything!!! He’s such a boyfriend material. He’ll do anything for Mara. They’re romance really clicked in.

The ending was fine. I want to read the next book!!
5 hearts!
